Central Park
Central Park
“A peaceful escape in the middle of the madness.”
First Impressions
Central Park is everything I hoped for and more—a dreamy escape from the rush of Manhattan. The moment I stepped into the park, I felt like I’d walked into a movie. It’s charming, full of life, and yet surprisingly calming. Whether you’re solo, with friends, or on a slow romantic stroll, it’s a place that makes you pause and breathe.
My Favorite Moments
I spent a morning walking under tree-lined paths, coffee in hand, stopping to people-watch by Bethesda Terrace—musicians playing, couples dancing, kids laughing. I rented a rowboat at The Lake (yes, it’s just as romantic as it sounds), then wandered into The Ramble, where it suddenly felt like I wasn’t in the city at all.
Also: the views from Belvedere Castle? Gorgeous.
Good to Know
Open: Daily from 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM
Entry: Completely free
How long to stay: I spent 3–4 hours and still didn’t see it all—give yourself time to explore
Some areas like the zoo, rowboats, or carriage rides are paid, but worth considering
Getting There
It’s super easy to reach. I took the subway to 72nd St and walked right in. There are multiple entrances depending on where you’re staying, and the park stretches from 59th to 110th St—huge!
Where to Refuel
I grabbed a pastry and latte from Le Pain Quotidien inside the park and found a sunny bench near The Mall to snack and people-watch. There are food carts everywhere, and cute cafés just a short walk outside the park.
