Hidden in a Renaissance building in the heart of Vieux Lyon, the Musée Cinéma et Miniature surprised me in the best way. From the outside, it blends in with the old stone charm of the neighborhood. But once I stepped inside, I entered a universe of special effects, film history, and breathtaking miniature worlds. I felt like a child again—eyes wide, heart full of wonder.

Getting There

The museum is located on Rue Saint-Jean, right in the middle of Old Lyon. I wandered there on foot after visiting Fourvière Hill, but it’s easily accessible via Metro D (Vieux Lyon–Cathédrale Saint-Jean station).

The museum is spread across multiple floors, and I found myself getting lost in the best way.
