Louvre
Louvre Museum, Paris
“It wasn’t just about the art—it was about getting lost in centuries of beauty.”
First Impressions
The Louvre doesn’t just impress—it overwhelms, in the best way. The moment I stepped into the courtyard and saw the gleaming glass pyramid surrounded by majestic palace walls, I got chills. It’s massive, historic, and humbling—like stepping into the world’s collective memory.
Inside, the air shifts. Everything is quieter. You’re not just looking at paintings—you’re standing face-to-face with legends.
Getting There
I took the Metro Line 1 to Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre and followed the signs straight into the museum’s underground entrance. It’s super convenient, especially on rainy days.
Tip: Arrive early or after 3 PM to avoid peak crowds. And trust me—book your ticket in advance.
My Experience
I started with the big one—the Mona Lisa. Yes, she’s smaller than expected and yes, it’s crowded, but standing there felt like meeting someone iconic.
Then I wandered through Greek sculptures, the regal Napoleon apartments, and endless gilded halls that made me feel like I was in a dream. My favorite? The Winged Victory of Samothrace, perched at the top of a staircase like a goddess mid-flight.
I didn’t try to “see it all”—instead, I let myself wander, pause, and admire. I left feeling full—not just of images, but of emotion.

Why I Loved It
⭐ 5.0/5 — “It felt like walking through the heartbeat of art history. The Louvre reminded me that beauty endures, and that sometimes the quietest moments—just you and a painting—are the ones that stay with you the longest.”
