First Impressions

From the moment I walked through the gates of Universal Studios Japan, I was grinning like a kid. The music, the energy, the colors—it’s a full-sensory thrill from the very start. I could hear Harry Potter’s theme in the distance, smell popcorn in the air, and see people in matching outfits posing for selfies everywhere.

It’s more than a theme park. It’s joy bottled up and set loose.

Getting There

I took the JR Yumesaki Line to Universal City Station, and the park was just a short walk past restaurants and shops in Universal CityWalk. Super easy and well signposted!

Tip: Arrive before opening time to get ahead of the queues, especially for popular rides like The Flying Dinosaur or Mario Kart.

My Experience

I started my day in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and honestly—I teared up. Seeing Hogwarts Castle in real life, sipping on warm Butterbeer, and getting chosen by a wand at Ollivanders? Pure magic. I rode Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, and it was everything I hoped for.

Then I made my way to Super Nintendo World, which was SO immersive. Like… I was inside a video game. The wristband synced with interactive games across the area, and the Mario Kart ride? Total adrenaline. I finished off with Hollywood Dream (backwards!) and some Minion Mayhem fun.
