Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower, Tokyo
“It’s not the tallest anymore, but it’s still the one that stole my heart—bright, timeless, and quietly cinematic.”
First Impressions
There it was—Tokyo Tower, standing tall in its signature red-and-white elegance, peeking through the city skyline like something from an old film. It has a kind of nostalgic beauty, a softer energy than Skytree, like Tokyo’s first love. As I got closer, it felt even more magical, glowing warmly against the blue sky and later, against the night.
It’s classic Tokyo—and still utterly captivating.
Getting There
I took the Oedo Line to Akabanebashi Station, then walked about 5 minutes to the base. You can also use Kamiyacho or Onarimon Station—all have well-marked signs.
Tip: Arrive just before sunset, so you can see the city in both daylight and sparkle mode.
My Experience
I bought a ticket to the Main Deck (150m) and watched the city stretch out in every direction. You can even see Mount Fuji on a clear day. I lingered at the glass floor panels, peeked down (nervously but delighted), and snapped too many photos of the skyline turning pink and gold.
Later, I sat in the Tokyo Tower FootTown complex below—shopping, sipping a matcha latte, and people-watching beneath twinkling fairy lights. It was unexpectedly cozy.

Snack Break
At the base, I found a cute café with Tokyo Tower-themed sweets and ordered a matcha chiffon cake with a city-view seat. It was the kind of moment where everything just slows down—a quiet celebration in the middle of a big city day.

⭐ 4.9/5 — “It wasn’t just the view. It was how Tokyo Tower made me feel—elevated, elegant, and quietly emotional. Like seeing the city not just from above, but from the inside out.”
