Golden Gate Bridge
Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco
“The kind of view that stops you mid-sentence.”
First Impressions
I knew it would be beautiful—but I wasn’t ready for how beautiful. Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge in person is one of those travel moments that hits you right in the chest. It’s iconic, yes—but also elegant, powerful, and strangely calming. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, that orange-red arc stretching across the bay never gets old.
Getting There
I took a quick rideshare to Crissy Field, then walked toward the bridge along the shoreline. The path is peaceful and scenic, with plenty of photo stops. You can also start at Battery Spencer on the north end for jaw-dropping views looking back at the city.
Tip: For the best photos, go early morning (misty and moody) or late afternoon for golden hour glow.
My Experience
I walked the full length of the bridge (about 30–40 minutes one way with photo breaks), and honestly? It was such a powerful moment. The wind in my hair, the sound of cars whirring past, the city behind me, and the Pacific Ocean opening up ahead—it felt surreal.
At one point I just stopped, leaned against the railing, and took it all in. Pelicans glided below, the fog rolled in, and the whole world seemed to pause.
